FP7 Awareness Workshop: come to Cluj Napoca in July 7th! (Cluj Napoca, from Jul 07, 2011 05:30 PM to Jul 07, 2011 08:00 PM)

Organized in the frame of the 10th edition of ISPDC, the workshop intends to raise the awareness about FP7 ICT programme in particular Call 8 - Objective 1.2

1st Workshop of Ro-NeSSI (Room 045C, West University of Timisoara, Romania, from Apr 30, 2010 08:00 AM to Apr 30, 2010 09:00 PM)

The event marks the start-up of the Romanian National Technology Platform (NTP) dedicated to Software Services, under the acronym Ro-NeSSI: Romanian Network of Software Service Initiatives. The meeting creates the opportunities to discuss about similar platforms at European and national levels, to identify the Romanian competences in software services and the potential directions of a strategic research agenda, as well as to establish the connections between the Romanian NTP, other NTPs and NESSI as European TP.

1st Workshop of Ro-eIRG (West University of Timisoara, Romania, from Jul 10, 2010 08:00 AM to Jul 10, 2010 08:00 PM)

The event marks the start-up of the Romanian e-Infrastructure Reflection Group , under the acronym Ro-eIRG. The meeting creates the opportunities to discuss about similar initiative at European level, to identify the Romanian competences in e-Infrastructure and the potential directions of a strategic R&D agenda, as well as to establish the connections between the Romanian group and eIRG.

The aim of the meeting is to identify and acknowledge the competences of R&D teams located in new members states in the field of software services as well as to establish a network of these teams.

This event is dedicated to the dissemination of the achievements of the on-going European collaborative projects in software services running under FP7-ICT Programme, towards the teams from new member states. It intends also to be an opportunity for networking between the participants.

3rd WoSS will take place in Poland in September (Szczecin, from Sep 19, 2011 01:15 AM to Sep 21, 2011 11:15 PM)

WoSS intends to be an open forum for academics, practitioners, and vendors, allowing them to discuss the current trends and scientific and technological challenges in software services. 3rd WoSS is organized in the frame of FedCSIS (Federated Conferences on Computer Science and Information Systems).

A one day meeting to reveal the requirements of the Calls of the FP7-ICT Programme

Workshop on Actions for Better Participation of New Member States to FP7-ICT (West University of Timisoara, Timisoara, Romania, from Mar 18, 2010 08:00 AM to Mar 19, 2010 03:00 PM)

Several common barriers were identified already during special sessions of ICT 2008 or of the Proposer’s Day from Budapest in January 2009: lower number of researchers in EU12 compared with EU15, aging process in research institutions, brain drain at the level of young researchers, or research politics in EU12. Further systematic and deeper investigations based on concrete data and statistics are needed to offer a complete image of the current situation of research in ICT in EU12. During the meeting national statistics should be made available and discussed by the delegates. In this context the aim of the meeting is to identify the common barriers in the take up of initiatives for FP7-ICT projects and to arrive to an agreement in what concerns the common actions to be undertaken to improve the participation of EU12 at FP7-ICT programme.
